My journey with Jesus has not been a straight line.

I first became involved in Christian ministry as a young man, serving in youth ministry, leadership and pastoral care. But life took some unexpected turns, and eventually I walked away from active Christian faith for more than twenty years.

During those years, I experienced both the beauty and brokenness of life. Relationships changed, plans unravelled, and I found myself working closely with people living through disability, trauma and difficult circumstances. Without realising it at the time, those experiences were shaping a much deeper understanding of what it means to genuinely care for people rather than simply try to fix them.

In 2025, everything changed when I encountered Jesus again. What began as a deeply personal return to faith became a rediscovery of calling.

Today, through Simon Cornwill Ministries, my heart is to write, teach and walk alongside people who may not have everything figured out. My ministry is particularly drawn toward those carrying complicated stories, questions, wounds or seasons of rebuilding.

I don’t believe Jesus waits for us to get ourselves together before He meets us.

Sometimes the most important thing we can do is simply find our way back to His feet.
